Geronimo Lions Club

Thank you to all that participated in or helped with the Geronimo Lions Club 2009 Tour de Pecan Bike Ride. This year we had 112 riders from all over Texas.  The weather was perfect and we hope that everyone enjoyed the ride.  We are already making plans for the 2010 ride and making changes based on rider suggestions. 

We would like to thank Wal-Mart - Seguin and Bucky Kalina for his help and support as well as the Guadalupe County Sheriffs Department, Schertz Fire and EMS Department, and the Geronimo Community Center for hosting our registration and after ride meal.  Speaking of the meal, a big thank you goes out to Dr. Mark Flanagan for donating the meat and to John Nash for his help in preparing the meal.

We feel our first year was a success and we are working to make the 2010 Tour de Pecan better.  We are looking for ride sponsors as well as rest stop sponsors, if you would like to join our ride please feel free to contact us via email or call (210) 771-5755 for more information.  We will have sponsorship forms available soon. Our goal is to make this a safe, fun, enjoyable ride the whole family can participate in and to bring people to our community to take part in all of the Seguin Pecan Fest Heritage Days events.

The proceeds will benefit our service projects that include The Christian Cupboard,  The Texas Agriculture Education and Heritage Center,  Navarro Education Foundation, Navarro 4-H and scholarships to Navarro High School seniors.
